Assalamualaikum! We are semester 4 students of Diploma Event Management in Politeknik Merlimau, Melaka.

Event Management is a course under Department of Tourism and Hospitality. This course teach students on how to plan, manage and organize any kind of event. We learn subject such as Protocol & Etiquette, Crowd Management, Fundamental of Tourism & Hospitality, Event Design and others.

With guidance from professional lecturers here in Politeknik Merlimau Melaka, we were given opportunity to organize few events while we are studying here. Our class and DEV4A, or best known when combined together as DEVENTIUM, had organized event such as MAJLIS SOLAT HAJAT, SIMULASI MAKAN MALAM MAHLIGAI IMPIAN & PMM GOT TALENT 3.O

We have one last event we will held for our final semester's project. We can't wait to begin organizing it. We have one more semester before we went for Industrial Practical.

DTE 5024

DTE 5024 Venue & Event Logistic is subject learn in semester 4 by students of Diploma in Event Management in Politeknik Merlimau Melaka. This subject teach students about logistic management, meaning of logistic, type of venue, how to choose the perfect venue for event planned and many others.

There are a few task students need to complete in order to pass this subject. This include Work Tutorial, Quiz, Test, Written Assignment, Presentation and few others.

There are a few chapter that students need to learn while completing all assessment given.

PROPOSE 3 VENUE

1) MELAKA MALL EXHIBITION CENTRE AYER KEROH

Melaka Mall is the largest bridal exhibition in Malaysia. Bridal exhibition is also made public as it was first held in 2014 due to the high number of visitors and the amazing sales closing rate. The Mall is known as a large budget exhibition. The Mall is strategically located close to the MITC, AEON MELAKA and the bride hills around Ayer Keroh Melaka. The address of this venue is Lebuh Ayer Keroh, 75450 Bukit Baru, Melaka. Their tenants are required to open an exhibit booth of approximately 50 to 100 for the bridal exhibition. Bridal franchise displays the best wedding packages from Johor, Negeri Sembilan and Kuala Lumpur for the public. This Mall accommodates only 1000 to 2000 attendees at one time.

2) DEWAN TUN ALI, BUKIT KATIL

The council of Tun Ali is a beautiful and spacious council. The hall has 12 units namely VIP room, dressing room for men and female, space for catering, male and female toilets, parking facilities, spacious mosque and so on. Dewan Tun Ali is the strategic place. This venue address is Jalan Tun Kudu,75450 Paya Rumput, Melaka. This place also large and easy to people to find the location of the place. The site renters need to open 50 to 100 bridal booths. The hall accommodates only 1000 to 2000 attendees at one time.

3) THE SHORE MELAKA

The shore Melaka is the largest bridal exhibition in Malaysia. The bridal’s wedding is also the name of the crowd around the Melaka. The shore Melaka is also known as the grand wedding exhibition. The address of The Shore Melaka is Level GF-27, 193, Pinggiran, Sungai Melaka, Jalan Persisiran Bunga Raya, 75100 Melaka, Malaysia. The Shore is located strategically located near the city of Melaka. Top attractions are a few minute’s walk distance from the hotel and these destinations are River Cruise (5 minutes away), Jonker Walk (10 minutes away), Baba Nyonya Museum (10 minutes away), Maritime Museum (15 minutes away), A’Farmosa (15 minutes away) and others. This is can attract people to join our event. It is required to open 50 to 100 exhibition booth. This shore accommodates only 1000 to 2000 attendees at a one time.

At the end of study student shall proposed the best venue for event.

From the research that had been done by our group, The Shore Melaka is the best venue for our event which is Wedding Exhibition. The venue is chosen base on some factors where some of it are the capacity of the venue, the facilities provided at the event and review from previous event that held at the venue. The Shore Melaka is the strategic and beautiful place. This venue also near with Jonker Walk and others. This is can attract many people to join our event. The Shore Melaka place also before this doing the event which is Weddings but it’s not Exhibition but it was Festival. This is the best venue for our event.
